Cloves are the aromatic flower buds of a tree in the family Myrtaceae,  Syzygium aromaticum. Cloves have been used as a spice in cooking for centuries, and is also known to be included in some herbal cigarettes and in cigars.  However, as a phytochemical it has been associated with improving digestive conditions, alleviating dental pain and may also be considered for inflammation.
